Fritzchens Story
FRITZCHEN – beautiful, gentle male dog who finally wants to be seen❣
I am FRITZCHEN – and even though my name might suggest otherwise, I am no longer a little guy. From an inconspicuous street puppy, I have grown into a large, handsome “Fritz”: a male dog with scruffy, silver-gray fur and eyes that tell more than words ever could. Many say I have a striking appearance and somewhat resemble an Irish Wolfhound. And yet: to this day, no one has ever inquired about me.
My life began on the street. I was young, inconspicuous, and people simply overlooked me. Only when my fur started itching, becoming inflamed, and painful spots appeared, did someone finally notice me. A kind woman took me to a clinic where they cared for me, treated me, and helped me get healthy again.
Luckily, I did not have to go back to the street. Instead, I came to the Help Labus animal shelter – a safe place where I have food, shelter, and other dogs around me. Here I learned that people can be kind. I am cautious, but always friendly. I watch first before approaching, yet I show no fear or aggression – only reservation and hope.
I am big, strong, and yet gentle. My fur is silver-gray and my eyes shine warmly and curiously. Those who see me often pause for a moment – and still, no one has chosen me so far. And yet, I so much wish for a home.
I want people who will give me time to build trust. I am looking for a home where I can truly belong. I look forward to walks and closeness with someone who shows me how beautiful life can be. Where is my safe place, where I will finally no longer be overlooked?
I do not know what it is like to have a family of my own. But I am ready to learn everything – step by step, at my own pace, with someone by my side who understands me.
I see so many dogs leave, who have found their happiness. And each time I hope that someday someone will come for me too. Someone who sees my beauty, recognizes my gentleness, and gives me the chance to finally settle in.
Maybe you are exactly that person. Maybe my place in life is waiting right with you.
