I am KEANO – a gentle heart seeks familiar closeness❣
Together with my siblings, I was torn away from our mother far too early – simply abandoned somewhere, without shelter, without food, without any chance. We were too small to survive on our own. But fate was kind to us: we were found and brought to the HELP Labus animal shelter in Galati.
There, we received what we so desperately needed: warmth, food, safety – and people who didn’t give up on us. Little by little, our strength returned. We grew up, became bigger, more confident. During this time, I learned to observe, to trust quietly, and to gather a little courage every day.
Today, I am an adult male – friendly, sensitive, calm in nature. I don’t push myself to the forefront, but I am present. People often tell me I am beautiful with my brindle coat and long legs. Despite my size, I am not a dog who immediately runs up to people. Strangers unsettle me, and I need time to understand that no one wants to harm me. I observe first, keep my distance, and when I feel safe, I slowly approach. I am not loud, not demanding, not intrusive. I am a dog who gives trust in small steps – but when I do, it is from the heart.
I picture my ideal home as follows:
• A quiet place in the countryside, without much bustle
• People who give me time instead of expectations
• A clear, structured daily routine that gives me orientation
• A fenced garden where I can move safely
• Very gladly a confident first dog who shows me how life works
I am basically an active dog. Hiking and walks in nature could be just my thing. I don’t know family life. I don’t know what it is like to sleep in my own bed or to go for regular walks. But I am ready to learn all of that – slowly, carefully, and with someone by my side who understands me.
I am not loud, but I have a lot to give. And I wish for people who do not expect perfection, who show me patience, and who give me a genuine togetherness.
Maybe you are not looking for a dog that rushes to you excitedly right away. Maybe you are looking for one who has depth. One who is quiet but has much to give. One like me.
If you give me time, I will give you trust. And maybe someday that will become something you call home.
